I have saved my project but still it may put those MIDI tracks to default (=track number) values. This being my case I ended using Track 12 as my MIDI track because I use Ch12 to control my Virus

Reporting these today:

  • Mute Mode Copy/Clear/Paste actions only work on Global Mutes.
  • Previous OS allowed micro timing individual notes of a step in Step Edit mode but this now shows a ā€œNo Stepā€ message.
  • Loading a preset sometimes does not set the correct LFO Wave and Mode parameters. The UI will show them correctly but they will not be correct without adjusting the knobs to set them back. This can be replicated by loading the preset 019 Kromata Kit, setting the track to Single Player, then loading preset 019 again. The LFO UI says it is on random but you will hear it is actually freerun sine.
  • Turning the RTIM encoder counter clockwise on a Subtrack’s TRIG page exhibits a sticky behavior, getting stuck on some values instead of smoothly turning.
  • The supertrack’s TRIG page does not work as expected according to the manual. It only affects subtracks and does not affect the FX locks. Setting a Trig Condition on a supertrack step will also affect that step in subtracks without a condition. The condition also does not work on the supertrack. P-Locked FX Sends will trigger every time instead of obeying the condition.
  • The SAW LFO seems to have either a hidden slew value or the vertical edge is not truly vertical. At slow speeds I can hear a gradual change from one extreme to the other instead of an instant jump. Especially noticeable when the destination is TUNE.

It gets progressively more warbled over time for sure. At 1hr I play with depth, at full strength the warble seems… lopsided  Definitely wonky and easy to replicate.

Edit, I think I hit some upload limit to the forum

My encoders are going bananas

Thanks for this! I’m pretty sure it’s an issue with the warble effect, or maybe more conservatively there’s nothing wrong with the hardware encoder.

Yeah. I’ll send em another ticket so they know it’s not just your machine

please consider sending a report if you haven’t already!

judging from elektron’s response to mine, it seems like they might not now how widespread the issue is

Noticed today that my midi settings for the midi machines assigned to buses were reset to the defaults (SRC page) when I started the TV today. Also noticed them sometimes getting reset when changing patterns (!). I’ve tried to find a reproduction so I can report it but no luck so far. Anyone else noticed this?

I noticed a similar bug yesterday with a MIDI machine being replaced by a Single Player not long after doing some copy/pasting of fx/lfo page settings on that pattern. I feel there’s some subtle use cases that are corrupting a pattern’s data.

Hi folks, almost every time I try load certain projects on the TV it crashes (oops, something went wrong turn off/on), I need this project for a show tonight, any idea what I can do to try fix this? Also this has probably been answered but its not saving the routing I have, is there any other way to fix this without parameter locking all the steps to a certain output?

Welcome here!
Have you reached Elektron suppƓt?

Yes, they said to reset active project, this was so I could actually open the tonverk, and they said check I had the latest firmware (I do), both are not a solution to my problem unfortunately

This is disappointing.
I am afraid there is not much we can do to help you with this, very unfortunately.

If you manage to load it once, try to save it as a new project maybe.

ahhh damn, thanks for your help. I’ve done the Save As when I got into the project last and it didn’t work either. Fingers crossed it can load tonight

1.2.1 just installed. Running a loop of audio through the Tonverk BUS4 with some audio being sent to SND2 and SND3. FX slot 1 on BUS4 is empty, 2 is set to Degrader with some subtle FREZ and OVER. After the audio was running for maybe 3-5 minutes all audio just stopped. Checked connections, etc. The only thing that changed was TV OS. Pressing PLAY on TV started audio again. I’ll report back if this occurs again and if I can narrow it down in any way.

Hi all,

Just wanted to update regarding TV and Novation XL3 issues I was having.

I reported the issue before Xmas break and to their credit, Elektron got back to me fairly quick… I just missed the email somehow.
Once I did see it, I quickly sent them the info they requested and someone from Elektron got back to me very quickly (this part occured mid last week).
The support person stated the team was going to buy an XL3 to test, which they did and confirmed the issue. This all happened within 72 hours.
Then, today I woke up to see a new firmware available and an email in my inbox stating the issue was resolved.
I just downloaded the new firmware and it is indeed resolved.

Major props to Elektron support on this. I’m sure they had other complaints about the issue but it did make me feel like a ā€œking for a dayā€. I mean, you don’t hear a support team say they were going to purchase the exact product I’m having issues with to test it out, then fix the issue so dang quick.
Anyway, huge thanks to Elektron! I’m proud to support such an awesome business.

my Tonverk often can’t exit out of usb disk mode because it thinks its not ejected, even when it is (using macos and checked lsof and diskutil to make sure). and then if you remove the usb cable it crashes.

Make sure you don’t have a Finder displaying the content of TV SD card. And unmount/eject the TV on MacOS before exiting USB mode on TV.

Disk Utility can help to show definitively whether it’s still in use or not.
