Tonverk: bug reports

Subtracks machine on Tracks 1 and 2 from what I can tell so far on this project.

Buggy with subtracks. FX plocks are shown on Supertrack, not on subtracks but you can plock subtracks without seeing it…subtracks non plock trigs recall track settings…

So check twice, you should be able to plock FX on subtracks, but it is not shown and mess with Supertrack.

Thanks! That was indeed the issue. I was not on the Supertrack and I can p-lock now.

Trigs with locked RTRG, RTIM, RVEL, COND and PROB settings do not flicker to indicate they have locks.
I think they should since they are quite important to be able to quickly find in a sequence.

PORT or P.TIME being locked do enable the flickering.

Note that they do make the ā€œTRIGā€ button flicker when the trig is held down, but the trig itself does not flicker.

Hey guys,
Can u try a thing for me?

I have brought this up before and just experienced it again in the current OS

Load up a compressor on an unused fx slot of a working project, keep it 100% dry, ratio 20 max, thold 127 & MUP 0.0.

Work on the project, save it etc etc. Come back to the compressor a day or so later.

I always find the ratio at 16 and not 20.

I don’t yet know which part of the process is causing this, but it happens super often to me, so much so that I have started plocking ratios.

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps!
The only thing that got it working was starting a new project

I hope I can recover my old project to get it all working again

Yesterday I was working on finishing a song in Song Mode.

Kept seeing some tracks persisting even when they should have stopped according to the mutes for the current song row.

One thing the tracks showing this problem had in common is the arpeggiator being enabled.

Have reported this as a bug.

Also had the same issue, not limited to arp though. Any note that continues past the end of the pattern and gets muted doesn’t get stopped and continues forever. Song mode mutes are super broken.

@verdurin @impbox
If your select a pattern chain and insert that chain in song mode it forgets all the pattern mutes, luckily it doesn’t forget the mutes on the pattern itself. I skipped like 17 heartbeats cause I thought the mutes were gone.

First time for me, booted up my project and things were sounding weird (not first time), but one of the tracks was playing at the wrong speed.

Checked the track speed and it was set to 1/2 as it was supposed to be. But it sounded like it was playing faster. Set it to another value and back to 1/2 and now it was playing correctly.

Fun times!

This is very annoying indeed.

For sure this must have been said before but sometimes when recording samples the keyboard doesn’t appear when trying to give the sample a name

Known bug happening in MUTE mode (leave it before naming).

Has anyone else had issues where sometimes you open up a project you made and the multisamples have stopped working? No message about missing samples or anything but it makes no noise when you press the keys and you need to reload any multisample to get it to make noise again? No idea what multisample was in that slot so I just have to guess I guess

Hoping this will be solved…

Press SRC once to check what multi is loaded.

This happens to me sometimes with Subtracks.
This box is unreliable. Please @Elektron do something!

Directly after using the AutoSampler to multisample an Oberheim Matrix 6 (connected via MIDI DIN: Tonverk MIDI Out to Matrix 6 MIDI In, audio returned via IN A), the Matrix 6 reverted to its default/init patch and stopped producing sound. Troubleshooting so far:

  • A normal power cycle of the Matrix 6 did not resolve it.
  • Cycling through different patch numbers: patch 00 briefly played the init patch sound, but subsequently went silent as well.
  • Fully disconnecting the MIDI cable between Tonverk and the Matrix 6 and power cycling the Matrix 6 in isolation produced the same result — no sound at all, on any patch.

Battery has lost power wiping the presets on matrix ?
Tonverk is only sending a midi note with velocity

I’m just guessing there’s a cr2032 battery in it .

Yep happens to me a lot, pretty sure it’s happened with multiplayer and subtracks, either no samples or wrong samples assigned. Very frustrating!

I did not know this! Thanks!
