gr-mega doesnt have the elektron sequencer tied to it.
but the engine itself exceeds expectations. this is like abletons warp modes, even better. it beats torso s-4, gr-1, lemondrop in my book
and being polyphonic, it beats things like beads, cornflakes, or multigrain imho
grainer sounds goodā¦ the youtube feature demo helped a lot and was well presented , that end drum pattern sounded like fear ratio ā¦ 
im just running scenarios through my head of how to make like lotic/arca style beats with this thing
i think this feature will put the TV in the monomachine league, like creating new genres the way autechre did with mnm and md
Iāve had so much fun with this new Grainer machine. A glitch-makerās dream. Itās not the icing on the cake of an already inspiring machine, itās like another freakin cake.
Lest we forget the wonderful filters that add to the engineās sound-shaping abilities (2x notch??).
And post-mix EQ for the bus tracks?
This was one of our earliest suggestions because TV tracks can become so dense. Itās essential if you want to live inside this box.
Oh, and how about amp envelopes on bus and send tracks?
So many quality-of-life things, too. With Subtracks, if you want to assign your own samples, you donāt have to back out completely to assign a sample to the next subtracks (say youāre on sub1 and want to assign something to sub2āyou simply FUNC+sub2). (You still always start from the originally-assigned sampleās location, though.)
Etc., etc. as Jeanne said, thereās a lot more to this update than what is listed. Lots of hard work was put into this update. Great job!

Yes, of course. Grainer operates just like any of the other SRC machine types, so you can sample the individual track itās on or the MAIN outputs (or the Bus tracks, etc.).
Then you throw that result back into another Grainer instance, ad infinitum
What I always liked about granular (what I found in software granular synths anyway) was the ability to make nice pads and other patches that would otherwise be hard to make from scratch with synthesis building blocks.
That is to say that synthesising rich and interesting sounds can be difficult but if you take some existing sample (probably from a better sound designer than me) it will often already be harmonically rich (but obviously static as a single sample) and then that can easily translate into a nice patch that has movement and interest by using simple granular parameters.
Anyway this looks like a great update. I need to be patient due to financial constraints but this box is looking more interesting all the time.

This is an amazing update!
Iām now convinced the TV will stand tall with the other Elektron devices. Sure, we always want more, but you can sit down with the TV and go places nothing else will. A big part is the new shelving EQ and rhythmic AMP control on busses and sends. Once you add this to the effects and sequencing, you can just dive in and explore making rhythmic sounds.
Iāve spent a lot of time just doing that on the TV. Itās a different kind of sound design vs making instrument patches, as you stop thinking too much and just explore rhythmic sounds.
