TM-1 "Could not allocate Midi * port" in C6 (or anywhere, "host error")

I’m having troubles with my TM-1, it is recognized properly, I can see the midi ports in list of all ports, but when I try to use with any midi software, it can’t open the port.

Anyone facing same issue? Any work around?

I’m running Windows 7 pro 64bit.

Thanks

Hey @gauthier . Have you found a solution?

I have the exact same problem, and its really annoying.

@spaceman, no.

I’m actually realizing that all device advertising “class compliant USB device” / “No driver required” tend to give a lot of issues, for example those MIDI devices cannot be used by different processes/programs (I’m facing this with synths with USB port, midi keyboard with USB port and the TM-1).

I never encounter that with my Edirol UM midi interfaces and they can be used from several programs at the same time, and never fail to function.

I could get away without the TM-1 but sadly this is only interface I have which address the monomachine bug regarding sysex kit dump.

I think Elektron should consider releasing a system driver, this would address the problem.
