I have an Analog Four and an original Machinedrum. I’m looking for a live in case to protect them, and allow for quick setups at shows. I was thinking about getting a Pedaltrain Metro 20 (board is 20 x 8) and just mounting the A4/MD vertically.
Thx. I did use the search function, and looked at most of those threads already. Most of those threads are several years old, so I’m hoping that there might be some newer pics/gear/info that has been put into play.
oh that could be rapid
might have to get me one o dem magma schoolbags.
is that the only backpack like that around or anyone know of any others that are similar?
I love that it has a proper laptop compartment as well as the main section.
I’ve got two elektrons mounted in a foldable stand, the analog heat, and their power cords in a Pelican 1560 case. There’s no more room for anything else.
It’s not too heavy, and I love the case… It’s super tough.
I also have a huge odyssey case for some sort of pioneer CDJ set up, but I modified the inside to hold a bunch of other gear, and that thing is too damn heavy. I bought it to gig, and now I’m either getting buff or breaking my back… Tough to say… Not really noticing extra muscles.
I don’t recommend something as heavy and bulky as that, but it is nice to take the lid off of it and everything is already plugged in and set up.
there are even bigger ones. I recommend you check their site, they have exact inner compartment dimensions listed for all their products so you can find a good match for your size requirements.
I agree that having a case where everything’s wired up and ready to go is “pro” - but I don’t have a car so
This case (63x78x14,5cm) was initially made to transport measurement instruments - there are plenty on craigslist and the likes. I cut the foam, so the boxes stay in place.
highly recommend integrating a multi plug. that way you only need to connect one plug and your cinch/jack cable and you’re ready to go. I’ve always had to set up my stuff while the previous DJ still performs - pain the butt! So glad those days are gone!
A nice trick I found is using approximately 4x5x25cm-sized (removable) foam bars to rest your gear on, improving their angle conveniently. Regular stands are to tall to be integrated in the box.
