This forum feels like an actual hobby group. “Moral missteps” meaning hateful or rude behaviour would not be tolerated in an IRL group since people are there to relax, not to listen to some asshole either trying to stir some shit up or just being so socially inept to annoy or insult people. Thats what makes this a good forum.

It’s kind of a shame that we never sorted out a London meet up of any kind. There are bars near me with back rooms (with PA) for hire, could easily have had a jam, a chat and a drink.
Maybe in the future it’ll be possible.

I met some people from a music forum at a pub once. It was OK. We didn’t hang out again, they were significantly younger than I was. Its funny I thought we would have a lot in common but gear was pretty much the only thing. We didn’t even have similar music tastes.
