You can’t record notes live with the m8
You can with an external midi controller, though it’s not the most amazing experience. Definitely more suited to sequencing than recording.
~2-3 weeks away if no further surprises. Components got lost at the factory and had to be re-ordered. Fortunately they were readily available.
It’s no secret I’m a big fan of that lovely early 90s AKAI S950/S1000 sound. It’s a must for 90s genres like Jungle.
Thanks for the info, I hope to get the chance for an order next as I lost the last batch and GAS need fast support
Oh dude! You hit the sweetspot, I love jungle! I can’t wait to see, what you have been cooking up
theres a used woovebox for $250 on patchwerks.com if anyone is looking for one, considered myself but i must practice restraint
edit: its gone!
Thanks for the info although I had enough problems in import tax duties to EU I may end up to pay like a new one I guess… Actually, I think I did ask it previously but anyone can remind me how the import duty was about to EU?
I am in the Netherlands, mine was delivered by DPD. They did not ask for any import tax
Nice
It depends on your country. In the Netherlands you will have to pay 21% tax and import/administration depends on the couriers. This variates from €15 to €35.
Is usually the 21℅ on the whole amount sent package included ( this was my experience so far ) But yes the courier does play good part for a quick custom clearance ( UPS are the worst )
Used Woovebox on eBay in UK…
@Woovebox - I don’t want to put more on your plate so to speak, but I’ve been thinking about the Woovebox Connect side of things.
I have gear from the last few decades that connects with a computer, and I can still use it by maintaining or using an old computer. Because Woovebox Connect is only on the Woovebox website, I find that slightly concerning in the long term. So if you find a way to do it, it would be great eventually to either have the option to run woovebox connect locally, in some form. Not nice to think about, but for example if something were to happen to you, and the domain expired and so on…
Not so much for the mirroring or updates, more for the upload/download of data. Anyway thanks for the consideration
Did you know you can save a copy of the webpage locally and it will still work offline?
That, and any app that can send or receive SysEx data can be used to get stuff (patches, kits, songs, etc.) on and off the device. The only exception is .WAV import and export right now, which requires special pre-and post processing far beyond the capabilities of simple SysEx.
Ooh, goody! I will investigate both these options. I assumed an offline webpage wouldn’t work. Obviously Woovebox has vast amounts of functionality useful in the long term without woove connect anyway, but I really like it and would hate to lose access to that stuff. Thanks for the tips both of you
Wow
