The Syntakt Feature Request Thread

Is dual mono in possible like on the digis? If so I hope it’s in the next update.

buy a Retrokits RK002 smart midi cable and Euclidian is there already per midi channel…AS WELL as up to x8 note polyphony on the Syntakt. Just 50 Euros

Bring the euclidian to all the boxes!!

struggling to understand why you would add Acoustic machines to a machine that can play back samples of real acoustic drums???

RK002 Midi cable configs - tested on Syntakt

LOOPBACK: cable looped back in digitakt / Syntakt (default, means MIDI THRU/ECHO=OFF)

PolyMUX polyphony:
PMUXCH = input MIDI play channel of the polyMUX (9=default)
PMUXBASECH = output base MIDI channel of polyMUX (1=default)
PMUXPOLY: 1-8, number of polyMUX polyphony channels (4=default)
Program Change on polyMUX channel sets amount of polyMUX

Euclidian generator:
EUCLID_CH = MIDI channel for Euclid generator (default=10)
DRUM0-7 = note number to send out on euclid (36=default)
CC70-77 = probability CC control numbers for channel 1-8 (default nrs = CC 70-77 )
Program Change on Euclid channel sets pattern length (1 to 32 max)

Arpeggiator channel:
ARP_CH = MIDI channel for Arpeggiator control (default=0; off)
ARPDEST_CH = MIDI channel for Arpeggiator destination (default=8)
CC70: ARP mode: 0=off, 1=UP, 2=DOWN, 3=ALTERNATE, 4=RANDOM, 5=AS_PLAYED
CC71: ARP gatecode: 1=1/4, 2=2/4, 3=3/4, 4=1, 5=5/4 etc.
CC72: ARP clock length 1-48
CC73: ARP transpose 0-36
CC74: ARP octave range min 0-4
CC75: ARP octave range max 0-4
CC76: ARP hold off/on

i think, because its an acoustic transient with an analog drum, which will sound different. It’s not purporting to be more acoustic than a sample, nor does it sound the same.

In mute mode, add 4 mute scenes. For example, in purple mute mode, assign scenes to keys M1-M4, and switch these scenes according to the tempo (4 bars).

I really want better decay control of the analog hihats on syntakt. Like on the Rytm. At the moment it jumps from long to infinite very quickly :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I played around with the Euclidian Sequencer Implementation from the Rytm in VCV Rack today (I rebuild the two Sequencers and the Logic to add them together). It is a very very nice addition to the sequencer of the elektron devices, but I think they missed a very easy to add feature:

Select one of the Euclidian Sequencers (or a Logic Output) as Accent.

So a selectable velocity instead of the track velocity is used whenever that accent pulse is triggered.

I attached the Patch in case anybody is interested in checking it out:
Elektron Euclidian Sequencer.vcv (3.7 KB)
(Plugins needed: Mindmeld, Bogaudio, Count Modula, RebelTech)

I’m sure someone has probably said this somewhere on this long thread, but…
I’d love it if the actual parameters of any FX could be routed as a modulation destination.
In other words, LFO destination to delay time, or reverb decay, stuff like that. Right now the only closest thing is Amp > FX Sends, so you can modulate the amount of send to the effects. But it would be even more fun if you could modulate the effects themselves.
Would be great with velocity - the higher the velocity, the longer the reverb tail, or the decay time increases creating some wacky sound design.

Secondly I would love a compressor to be an available effect! Could do some cool extra transient shaping with that.

It’s not a new request, but have renewed hope we can see live quantization on the mod keys for retriggers (and more?). The EP133 from TE is cheap, but this is a huge reason the playability is as crisp as it is IMO. Reassign MOD A & MOD B to AT or MW and that gives you a 4 destination “FX button” on demand.

FX track has its own pair of LFOs that can modulate a whole bunch of FX related stuff, delay time and reverb decay included.

I have been hooking up my beat step pro to the Syntakt to get this feature and velocity sensitive pads. I find coming up with hi hat patterns to be so much easier with a quantized beat repeat type feature. This was my very first request when I started this thread, I am really hoping they get around to it.

It has two?! Here i’ve been thinking the FX track only had one LFO

I wonder if we’ll see Chip, Acoustic BD and SD, HH Lab, and cowbell PWM for Syntakt in addition to some new digital machines - perhaps hi hat, various other MD-esque percussion voices if past pronouncements are fulfilled, maybe voice synth as MnM legacy tribute if the E25 mixtape is any indication. Requesting and hoping for all of the above. I wonder if/when E25 updates for the Digis might drop.

Oh man, some MD inspired machines would officially seal the deal for this being my favorite elektron box.

Yep, it has two. You can access the second one by pressing on the LFO key for a second time once you’re on it.

I mixed that up with the MIDI tracks which only have one (i believe?) – and committed the wrong info to memory. Thanks for the helpful reminder!

Is that just for the sequencer or pattern (all tracks)? Because what I have in mind would be for individual sounds, without the involvement of the sequencer.

It has two LFOs for each track and thus for each sound.
