I was really annoyed as well.
Sample management sucks - I donāt mind the transfer though.
Some engines arenāt that great however sample playback sounds awesome and with some dedication there are nice sounds to get out of every engine.
I guess it is more see what you can do with it and use it than trying to get the sound you are after.
Is this a good thing? I donāt know. So far I am getting more and more happy with it every time I use it.

Sample transfer is absolutely awful but you can definitely preview samples and disabling pad dynamics makes the pads infinitely more functional.
Sell your AR and get an OT dude + filterbank dude.
Iāve actually been considering this lately. Do you have much personal experience with this combo? Any thoughts?
better add a Strymon Deco too because youāll lose a whole lot of vibe by trading away that Rytm.

i second this. actually the process allows me some time to become a little more intimately connected to the samples. To make them my own, in a useful and meaningful way.
I had a sample loading session last night, and am now seeing the potential to tailoring samples explicitly for different functions, for example a bass sound with a slow attack, or silence at the beginning to layer in the with the kick drum synth.
