The OT Filter Is Awesome : Discuss Tips

@mpiecora didn’t you use also that in your hihat tutorial?

Bringing this one back to the top.

Just playing with this tonight using a long droning chord sample and chopping it up with multiple trigs.

What would be the typical setting for a low pass filter, where the filter envelope is triggered with every trig I lay down?

I’ve got it working, but can’t seem to get any resonance out of it, unless I have the resonance turned on in the filter fx setup page. But then that pushes the resonance with every trig, which isn’t the effect I want.

I’m wondering if I should pay any mind to the amp page setup for fx1, there’s a few trig options there.

Try 12db and 24db filter modes.
Try resonance to width only.
Try balancing filter envelope amount, cut off, and resonance until you get the sound you want.

You can get an impressively wide range of sounds out of the OT filter, it is ridiculously flexible. Keep experimenting.

Hmmm, there’s no way to link the width to resonance afaik.

The resonance options on the set up page are:
None
HP
LP
Both

Width = LP if base = 0
