Been playing around with a drone setup recently, based around a PreenFM2 as the only sound source, sequenced by a Circuit Tracks’ four midi channels with control of the voices mapped to my Launch Control XL. This is a bit of a proof of concept from today, with the audio being run through my Analog Keys’ effects.
It’s not there control wise atm, and I’m basically waiting on the release of the BCR32 so I can have an NRPN controller for finer alterations on the fly.
Since it’s drone related thread, I would like to share my latest EP called “Radio Transmissions EP”, which is (you guessed) inspired by radio frequencies, mysterious “number stations” and some other stuff…
listened to both tracks and loved them, I love how smooth the radio sound is, I guess it’s filtering of sorts, I sampled some stuff from WebSDR but it’s very harsh compared to this, either way very cool sounds!
Hello - I would like to share my latest live performance recorded on Sunday March 30 during Soundscapism night.
I used Stylophone DPM DS2, Sn by DecadeBridge, Th Signal by Resonance Circuits, a noisebox via Ableton effects, Full Blotter (granular software using my own drone samples) and a radio walkman as a noise generator. On top of all that a bit of reverb from my Yamaha console.
Been having a rather frustrating time with my music making in the last few weeks, with nothing really hitting the spot, and I’ve been struggling this afternoon with an inability to concentrate on anything in particular.
I improved my mood considerably by booting up my Digitone 1, and creating a single C5 note drone on one track using Algorithm 7 and some incredibly slow and subtle modulation. I’ve had it running for a few hours now and just soaking in the sound.
