Cool, hmm definitely food for thought then. The Zen Q with free bitwig studio is a good deal. In the USA they include a free Edge Solo mic as well and all the plugins but not in the UK sadly!
Yeah, that´s too bad!
I am a bit annoyed with the plugin offers; for my interface i was long told that i would get a tape saturation plugin. It all went up in smoke though, and all i got was a slew of amp plugins that i never use.
It´s way easier for me to use plugins in the DAW, even if i think the Antelope reverb sounds great. But in the daw i can modulate and automate stuff, that´s not so easy through the antelope mixer even if i know it´s possible.
Ahhh actually, I’ve just seen an email from Antelope support saying that offer would be honoured in the UK so I stand corrected!
I did notice there seems to be a lot of bias towards amp sims! The plug ins aren’t super major for me, but still interesting.
Not sure if this is the right thread but that’s Bitwig On Splice now. 25 month contract at $16 a month. All upgrades during that time included.
Random question before I scour the scary web instead of here…
Is there a way to capture audio over bluetooth/wifi for an audio track using a different device?
I could just buy a USB-C adapter for my iPad (power/USB MIDI/headphone out into my Focusrite).
I was just wondering if anyone has tried something similar?
Seems to be easier to just get the adapter. Was just curious
Short answer: Get the adapter cable.
Long answer: Yes, but it’s complicated, error prone, can involve lots of troubleshooting and depending whether you’re on Windows or MAC could be more difficult or less. You’d need an app that could capture that stream, route it to system audio and the pipe it from there to Bitwig. There’s a number of ways to do this depending on what the source application is.
On a Mac, I believe a combination of Airfoil and Audio Hijack could achieve this, but I haven’t done it myself. On a PC, I don’t know off hand largely because I think it’s more hassle than it’s worth, but YMMV.
Appreciate the response. Seems like the adapter is the way to go!
Bitwig 4.3 announced New in 4.3 | Bitwig
Saw that earlier. Still nothing to convince me to renew my plan but there are still some nice additions. It should be noted that this is a beta version until the proper 4.3 release sometime in Q2. So, within a few weeks, I imagine.
Nice, I’ll wait for the official release, but there are some really nice additions. Very psyched for the convolution effect!
I haven’t renewed since 4.0 I don’t think, but I like the look of the new FX (I like delays) and the new Oscillator/Polymer changes. I want to support Bitwig as I like the company a lot (and it’s my favourite DAW) but I may wait until it’s out of beta so I can demo it before upgrading.
Welcome addition but you get the feeling nothing major will happen until 5.0 even if something is ready!
I was hoping they would have a sale for Superbooth but it seems like nothing doing.
They tend to have two sales periods. One in the summer and the other before Christmas and into the New Year. So, July or August for the next one.
Convolution device is really fun so far! It’s especially cool to map some modulators/pressure/mpe stuff to it and see how it can evolve. Looking forward to spending some time with Bitwig again soon, it’s been a little bit.
…told it elswhere here already…but i really missed convolution for quite a while now…
so i finally wanted to purchase convolver today…but bang, here comes the news letter…
thanx again, bitwig…ur timing was always great…
and if delay+ is also that much PLUS as ur + versions of chorus, flanger and phaser, well…
not much left to say…
u gonna see my money for the next update plan for sure…
but be warned…once u guys expand ur ear grid with an eye grid, the day might come where i won’t need any new update plans anymore…
Yep, pleased to see the convolution, I was hanging out for that.
You did well not purchasing Convolver, I own it but always disliked it - the Bitwig one is way better. all the new Bitwig + fx are top quality I think.
…let’s hope, they have figured a nice way to drop and produce very own creations and even pretty much any kind of audiofile into it…beyond that fancy collection of impulseresponses it will already come with…
