Check this out. Good fun!
And, yes, Sampler can be used in the Grid. It’s in the Oscillators section if I remember rightly.

Thanks, got it. So no built-in grain looper, but it’s possible to build one.
Cool, this is closer to PureData/Max level actually!
no, it isn’t really possible to build a granular fx in the GRID… the sampler can play granular style samples somewhat effectively with voice modulations… but there is no real way to usefully record input signal and granulate it directly… the ‘array’ can come close but will be ultimately unsatisfying.
It seems that automation for VST plugins ALWAYS overwrites in Ableton. So it is also inconsistent here. I think I will have to live with how it is in Bitwig actually and stop searching for a solution now.
Used comping tonight for vocals. Wow! What a great feature!
It was so nice having all the takes color coded so we could listen to parts of each one.
This is just a test, I wanted to make my take on the simplest Euclid sequencer in Bitwig with the MD,
music starts at 1:24.

Hello All !
I propose to collect your answers and send them, organized, to Bitwig.
If you have migrated from another DAW please say which one…
When I feel that I have a majority of answers from this thread active Nauts.
I will let you know when I will start to compile, and when I will send it.
Cheers
…normalize can’t beat free adjustable amplitude gaining at any point of a production flow…
have a closer look in the track attributes…
I want both, please. The question was what I missed from my last DAW and it had both.
Next Action of “Play Again” on a clip.
I used this in Ableton to reset multiple short polymetric sequences and get them back in sync with each other after a certain number of bars.

This is one of the main things I hope Bitwig works on at some point. Possibly partnering with a hardware developer to create a modern push like Biwig controller with extensive midi and CV capabilities for integration with hardware, and be able to use operators and modulators directly from the ui. It would definitely replace all hardware sequencers for me if done right. One can dream…
-more detailed track metering pls (at least as an option). The only non-native plug-in I really need to use in BW (well besides OB) is Voxengo Span for metering.
from Able:
*A Convolution Verb
*some FFT based Fx
*more feedback routing allowed (send from one return channel to another)
*more editable UI !!!
*the bitwig color palette is GROSS… dark orange is just shit-brown with 3 shades of purple?? yuck.
*individually zoomable panels (like Grid can do). I want the device line at 200% zoom while the clip launch is at 100%. I also want to move the device line to the top of the window.
I think a convolution reverb would be a really important addition. The sampler could use some beefing up. I’d also really like to see some weirder audio processing, think sherman filterbank or something along those lines.
This thread title needs changing, Bitwig 4 has been here for a while now…
