I wish the J-16 had wood sides. The metal sides make it look like the Jupiter-X.
An afternoon project.
I was thinking it looks like a Hydrasynth Keys or Deluxe.
True.
This picture was from May.
I also think they may be showing some prototypes. If they can show pictures of pipe dreams, they can have them at a show too. They can show stuff and just ask for feedback.
Nick ! With Luigi Scarano.
ADDED : Much earlier interview video with Scarano, from upthread, where he mentions the DX1.
This is exactly the sort of thing discussed earlier, finding new ways ro create with the recombination of already developed parts of designs.
Did they say it has 32 filters within the analog section? I canât make it out. Thing is huge. Nice to see they made a lot of quality of life additions to the old DX. The machine whoâs presets were amongst the most recognizable because it was such a chore to tweak that many musicians didnât even bother.
Took me a second to realize the guy in that pic didnât just have hands directly attached to his shoulders.
Thought maybe it was a Dr. Nick (Hi Everybody!) situation
Yeah he deffo says 32 voice polyphony and 32 filters, presumably one VCF/VCA per voice. Itâs gonna be a monster
i so want one of thee Behringer jackets
CatSynth did a great video letting Luigi Scarano talk, and explain the BX1. Nice close up video work too.
Also confirmation that yes this synth has polyphonic aftertouch, and will fully support the existing 6-operator sound libraries for the DX7.
I also want to dispel a myth started elsewhere in this forum that Behringer will never ship this synth.
ADDED :
This entirely likely eventually, but not on the BX1 line exactly. More along the lines of the DX7, which has been discussed by them too.
Spotted on reverb for sale, seems to be a development device. Which is strange, because they synth has never been available to publicâŚ
Obviously gray market. The seller is in Taiwan. Lots of photos, for instance this showing the calibration adjustments.
Could have been slipped ( stolen ) out of the backdoor of the factory, but more likely this is a strayed test unit.
Also obviously, donât buy this. We had known this to be well down the development path, so it wonât be too long for this to show up for real with warranty and support for about 1/3 the total cost here.
Nice pictures though.
Reverb should be scrutinizing this as they canât sell stolen items.
But look at this !
Right I wasnât planning on it haha, Behringer would sell a much cheaper version anyway. Just funny see this in the wild, Big B needs to get their QA locked down
