I was on the MPC forums back from like 2007 under a different name, wish I had been on the SP forums instead back then. Seems like it would have been a much cooler community. Funny that people are still battling Roland vs Akai. Back then it was the MV-8000 versus MPC4000.
The IKEA-decked out lab circa 2008. It would be funny if the new mini MPC is the thing that pulls back to Akai, but not planning on it.

Iāve got too much stuff, but my main synths are Moog Grandmother and Sequential Take 5. I like the Yamaha Reface series as well (CP, CS, organ). For samplers, mainly SPs. A mix of old and newer gear. Iām in a smaller space than I was back in 2008, so itās a more compact setup. While I didnāt really set out to be a Roland fan, I have loads of Roland/Boss gear these days. It sounds good. Itās small and affordable. Vinyl is all in the living room.

My personal sample collection is about 30GB. Thatās just the stuff Iāve sampled myself from records over the years, and doesnāt include any third-party content or commercial libraries. I like to have it all on hand when Iām working on my 404mk2 so I have a 32GB SD card that mirrors the collection on my laptop.
Thatās the āSeal of approvalā

I was wondering today about whether the new MPC Sample will be able to read and play old MPC projects. I still have the contents of my old MPC1K hard drive on an external drive. It would be kind of funny to finish some old beats like 20 years later.

Iām not interested in the MPC Sample, I hope it will be good and a lot of you will enjoy it.
But remember in between some good releases Akai just decides to release something like a rhythm wolf or a mpx 8 
That was during the Nukai era.
