i’m dreading what it’s going to take to set up my Launchcontrol XL 3 to map to just six MPC tracks. there’s gotta be a better way than "just make this handy excel spreadsheet . . . "
This is one of those things where there’s no easy way to do this without it being a tedious process & why I suggested we start a Macro file bank to help save time for others. Even then, we may still want to edit it more to our taste.
One shortcut is to just make one as a base & copy it & add whatever edits to it like the track number for each macro knob - have 6 knobs named Filter for 6 different track is gonna be confusing AF, esp it you assign those track macro to Project macro that can have multiple macros from different tracks.

Question for the Live 3 experts: is there a hardware button shortcut to toggle automation read/write mode? IIRC there was one on the gen1 devices.
I find it kinda slow to use the menu top bar which you have to slide down if the automation icon is not present on the current screen. If the automation icon would have been visible on all screens I wouldn’t mind using the touch screen.

I miss that button too, was so convenient. Haven’t found a shortcut on the Live 3 sadly.
I would gladly give up “Sounds / Favorites” for it.

I don’t use any other way than sounds and favourites to choose sounds, going through the browser is a bit of a chore to me yet I’m not a long time Mpc user. But yeah I like the sound button

I would give up the two page button follow/lock second functions. I can’t think of a reason why they didn’t just use one buttons second function for follow/lock as toggle. But that’s what we got.
