So I tried plocking my TEO-5 with tonverk and the result sounds amazing. However I’m running into quite an annoying issue. I lose all local control of the knobs on the TEO-5. Sometimes I change the preset and suddenly I’m able to control things again, other times it totally locks me out and I can’t even change the master volume or touch the modwheel. This is regardless of if it’s sending any plocks or not.
With syntakt it downright doesn’t allow me to ever control the teo-5. With tonverk it does intermittently.
Does anyone know what might be happening? It driving me bonkers not knowing how to control this behavior, having to constantly turn “midi control” or “sync mode” to off on the teo-5 to tweak some patch parameters. What’s confusing is it seems to randomly start working sometimes.
It also seems the “local control” setting on teo5 does absolutely nothing when the issue occurs
Anyone have a possible explanation?
I swore the TEO has a “Keys Wheels Only” local off mode.
Have you tried that one?

I’ll give it a try to see if it unlocks the panel controls. But I need every knob to respond as well as the keys, tweaking a teo patch via tonverk by looking at a midi cc cheat sheet is a little tedious
Can anyone verify if this is a bug or expected behavior since the synth is new and I know some people have had pretty substantial bugs with it?
Not sure if it’s a known issue or not, but tech support was quick to respond when I submitted a bug with their midi over usb implementation, so couldn’t hurt to shoot an email over

Sounds like a midi feedback loop.

There is only a midi in cable attached to the teo. Could there be some kind of internal loop?
Yeah, I guess I should get in touch with them. Figured might be a good idea first to see if anyone else had this happen
Did they resolve your issue in the end?
Nope, but they were at least able to confirm that it’s a known issue.

Is there a knob catch up type setting for the teo? I recall something similar on another synth where the knobs would lock until you pass the new value so as to avoid jumps maybe something like that is getting hit?

Good suggestion, though that is a feature that’s that’s what it is, since the main volume knob and preset change buttons would still be responsive if that were the case. It literally hands all control over to the tonverk including patch changes.
