I have a project on my DN with five patterns that I want to record on clip slots in Live. The problem is whenever I record, I have to both adjust the clip tempo and the master tempo in Live. For example, the tempo on the DN is 84bpm in 3/4 time, but using these exact settings in Live 10 causes my clips to need warp adjustments. Achieving the same perceived tempo in Live 10 requires that I raise the clip and master tempo to 94bpm. Another thing…I’m counting a 4/4 time around 130bpm in my head, so using a 3/4 meter at a much slower tempo is helping to throw me way off.
I’m curious if anyone knows how I can get the DN and myself in time so I can just record the project into Live without much trouble and move on to other instruments.
I’ve used external instruments with Live in the past, and I can’t remember really having any issues like this. It’s usually pretty straightforward if the time and tempo match both ways.
