Tempo multiplier question

A lot of what I’ve learned about the Octatrack is built on what I’ve already learned from the MD and MNM. On the other machines, tempo multipliers cause the sequencer to play in a continual loop at whatever division the multiplier sets against the BPM. On the OT, if I loop a 32 step pattern at 3/2 against a 64 step pattern with no multiplier, the sequencer plays the first 32 steps, followed by the next 16 steps played twice, instead of continuing on to step 17. Is there a way to disable this so the sequencer loops normally?

This doesn’t sound correct to me:

3/2 is a BPM subdivision, not a pattern sort of “read-out” mode

I’ll try your situation to check things out

Try this:

Set patterns to per track. Master playing 64 steps at 1x the bpm.
Set a track to 64 steps at 3/2x.
After the first full 64 steps play through, the sequencer plays the first 32 steps twice before proceeding to play the last 32 steps of the sequence.

I get why it does this based on the subdivision, but find it peculiar that the sequence doesn’t continue in a constant loop like the previous machines.
