Teenage Engineering TP-7 Tape recorder

this is what i hoped for; but the missing feature that would make it actually intuitive is the ability to add loop/cue points. Couldnt find any info in the manual unfortunately.

once it gets that, it could be comparable to op-1 tape and id probably be sold on it.

Here, in Ontario, Canada, If you were to buy this teenage engineering field setup it would set you back $9,174.47 that’s all in with taxes.

Honestly. At this point, after writing that. I’m at a loss of words to describe how I feel.

Wouldn’t buy it, but its more interesting than the table

I think they made the table so all of their other products seem less ridiculous

I guarantee you put all the products together on the table and it starts to look hot AF. plus you still got 4/5 of the table left for your lunch spread.

Look forward to see some actual videos of this and the mic. Guess next day or so will be a fair few floating around

Love TE, and really enjoy my OP-1F and TX-6 (even the oft complained about OP-Z) because they serve a clear function, distinct from the rest of my setup, and their premium is worth it to me based on the whole of each being greater than the sum of their parts — with this thing (less the new mic, tho still) it really feels like a solution searching for a problem.

They can do what they want, I’m not like personally affronted, I just enjoy when TE spends their time making things that are well designed and useful, and justify the price by uniqueness and portable utility — I don’t see how the new mic is 5x better than a Tula (also TE designed) and I haven’t the slightest how someone could justify the value of this TP-7
