Does TE have an announcement day of the week, like Elektron’s Wednesday?
Actually, I’d really dig a TE e-reader.
Or to develop the idea a little further: How about a TE-designed dumb phone with an e-ink display. Simple UI, usb-c, line in and headphone out, mic, bluetooth, sd and sim card slots. An every day companion for capturing audio ideas, notes, simple messaging/e-mails, phone calls and calendar planning, reading e-books and listening to music/podcasts/audio books, backing stuff up from op-1f, etc.
Minimal distractions from youtube or social media, because that’s just no fun on e-ink displays. Of course, there’s some overlap with the tp-7, so I don’t see something like that ever happening. But I’d be the first one to give up my smart phone for something like that.

I have to agree with this. The OP-Z as a sequencer is a blast. Just not when it becomes banana shaped and buttons don’t work or retrigger. Frustrating.

I think for me as an op-z owner (and enjoyer) the only thing that could tempt me to buy a version 2 would be a massive overhaul of sampling: none of this single file for 24 samples madness, make it sample to pad, resampling, lots more storage, and easier sample management with the app.
But to gain new customers I think they’d need to add a screen.
And for everyone’s sake… build it like a tank!

I have nothing super insightful to offer other than I hope the XY is some kind of Ableton collab with the Move. An additional piece of hardware would be fine as long as the price is more along the lines of the OP-Z/PO-133 and not the Field series.

Imagine an OP-1 F that syncs with Ableton like the Move, and can load Max for Live devices. Still only four tracks because 4 tracks is so hot right now.
