Did anybody order from https://www.sneakersnstuff.com/ ? Guess I was stupid enough to do it … now the page with the KOII has disappeared (not even Sold Out) and I have no info regarding my paid order.
the fader will break in time, otherwise a secure cap needs to make contact with the housing to prevent a person from pushing it in.
more concerning is dust that will nicely lay down between the fader springs
at one point and after some use their will be an exponential curve of broken faders / speakers.
some rattling, some pressure, some temperature differences… b r o k e n
no worries
How can you tell?
The storefront seems pretty legit:
https://www.sneakersnstuff.com/
And they have 5 brick and mortar stores?
Maybe because stock is empty and your item is already shipped? There are online stores that do not send shipping notifications. OK, this is rare, but they do exist.
SNS is 100% legit. You’ll either receive your KO2 or your money back.
Good point. Hence so “cheap” (TE realms).
I have to use a magnifying lens to read that thing and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
I was very surprisd to see that these are manufactured in Spain, or so it says on the rear of the unit.
I’m getting the feeling that the EP-133 KO ii is the real hardware version of the venerable Koala Sampler, with that built in mic and all…
Now if only this could do sampling while playback as well….oh my!
Really fun box, that “commit to scene” workflow is a fun way to build beats and just play and explore.
This really is a toy, and I mean that in the best possible way
Yep. Got mine yesterday. They’re legit.
Cool, did you get a shipping notification?
Concave. You’re gonna love the keys.
One of the layers has gone thin-sounding and I can’t see why. I don’t have the filter effect on. any ideas?
YES!
Yep. Tracking number and all.
The home stretch of NGNY and I failed yet again.
I was interested of the Teenage Engineering launch as always but was very busy at work the whole day. When I closed my shop at 18:00 and got home, I remembered the launch and went to see what it was. As soon as I saw the first picture of KO2, I went to the TE-site and placed an order. Didn’t watch any videos, didn’t read any reviews. I’m normally not like that at all. Normally I’m a very sensible person. I had just recently sold a computer and played a lucrative dj-gig so I had some surplus money burning in my pocket.
Today it arrived (I’m in Finland) and I unboxed it at work. (Very well packed, thank you TE!) If possible it’s even more beautiful seen live. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s stunning. I’m a huge fan of vintage calculators so this is right up my alley in more ways than one.
Put the slider/pot-caps in their place very carefully and everything seems to be working perfectly. No problems with the slider or the speaker at all.
Rarely a piece of gear makes me feel a sense of wonder. But Teenage Engineering manages to do it every time. I wouldn’t call myself a fanboy, I only have three POs and the OP-Z before this. I’m awestruck by the beauty and design of this thing. Tomorrow I’ll have a free day and will put the functionality to test.
I have the same situation. Wonder if it actually is still at the TE warehouse or the UPS tracking isn’t working
Next year then. Third time is the charm!!
Darn well now I’m worried again lol.
