Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II

That would be very cool

I wonder how long it’s going to take to manufacture a new batch.

Knowing TE probably 6-8months  :joy:

This is THE DEMO I was looking for. This should have been on the TE promos. Wicked.

Anyone else loves the juicy master compressor on this thing??

Yes. It’s one of the better effects. I am not a fan of the delay or reverb, but the chorus and distortion are also to my taste. If you want a default for the FX punch-in (on NUM6) then my recommendation is the compressor.

Chorus here is very different from something like Digitone. It’s more of a lo-fi ā€œwarbleā€ that has hints of detune on the high end (which makes it work great with drum tracks as well).

Why do you use the comp as punch in fx when you can use the master comp at all times, leaving the punch in fx for another fx?
Master comp is shift + [fx] and adjust X Y knobs to taste

The punch-in FX on NUM6 is just a different way of delivering it. It seems to drive that XY through some degree of randomness based on how hard you are pressing it. You can have it on as a master FX in tandem with it on NUM6, just on NUM6, or as you say just leave it on master and have it pair with something like distortion on the punch-in (with bitcrush being right above it on NUM9).

Yeah, but permanent battery exchange is boring.

For UK’ers, personally I’ve got over the initial omg I have to have this right now moment, and especially given some are having issues I’m holding off, but would recommend checking juno.co.uk and signing up to the email me when released thing. Long way of saying Juno have them in stock at the moment!

Hello, anyone found out how to adjust pitch for all samples within the same chopped group for example?
We can do per pad in sound mode using the Y knob, but per group of sample would be great too…
Thanks

That’s actually cool… if you can set it per pad.

Heads up that requesting a better price from them brings it down to £286 as well. Not buying one myself (possibly if resampling ever gets added/hardware issues sorted out) but hopefully useful to someone

I wish Juno had come up last week for order as I’d have bought from them instead of direct from TE  … On that note, in case it helps anyone: my order from TE to the UK is expected end of Wednesday via UPS. It sat in a warehouse in Denmark for a few days, I suppose to clear customs.

I put an request to cancel my order this friday.
Today I received shipping confirmation from their warehouse.
I ordered the day of the announcement 18:00 cet, Europe, The Netherlands.
Well I guess I have a KO2 on the way
At least there is a fix for the fader, when it dies.

Question: if you set a threshold for sampling, once you hit a pad, do you have to keep it depressed?
Same as OP-Z? TE got no love for instrumentalists? :frowning:

I have three questions:

1. Speaker: How is the speaker compared to the original OP-1? I know its far from the OP-1 Field, as someone mentioned above.

2. Sampling: Can it sample during playback of the sequencer?

3. Chopping: I know its possible ta ā€lazy chopā€ by tapping the pads, but how about live chop during sampling? If you release a pad and press another, will it continue sampling to that one or does it have to ā€thinkā€ for a second before you can sample again?

EDIT: I’m getting mine tomorrow. I’m gonna crack it open and make music with it.
