Lol, love how much breathing room they’re giving the fader.
Any additional info on this?

Damn! That was quick. Decksavers took forever to make one for the SH-4D.
i grabbed this screenshot from a namm video… haven’t found anything else about it, a release date, or even any other videos or photos…
Now that would make me break no new gear 24 for sure.
@te-david are you still looking for an iOS developer?

After reading this i realized i had ableton still running in the background and had been using KO2 as a midi controller. Once i shutdown ableton the KO2’s play mode ran as usual. so must have been something midi related. Hope they can smooth it out in an update at some point.
Is there a free reliable batch converter for WAVs -> MP3s for PC that people are using?
I keep getting “CHANNELS OUT OF RANGE” failures when using MediaHuman.
Are there any settings that I should be focusing on? I’m trying to keep everything in mono to save space, I can’t even tell why some of the files are failing, but I’m getting like a 50% failure rate.
Thanks.
Switch Audio File Converter is what you want. not sure if free but there was a trial at one point
your files do not need to be mp3s to work on the ep133. you can batch convert your stereo wavs to mono wavs with Switch if you want to save space. i tend to bring everything down to 16 bit and mono
Thanks I’ll give it a try, perhaps the conversion to mp3 was causing the problem, user error as usual
Otherwise, I never realised how much fun a built in mic could be (regardless of quality). Other day I took it out on a plane and just sampled the drone of the flight … might turn into something cool but just fun to be able to do in the first place.
I have never seen cherry keys with velocity sensitivity and was wondering how they implemented it.
I found this picture. The velocity is done via the black part underneath the cherry keys.
Another clever engeneering by the teenagers!
I would love to see this tech make it’s way into other products.
I don’t think it’s the most responsive or consistent, but it’s a world apart from single velocity keypresses.
A clicky key midi controller with velocity (like the OP-1F, though that is software velocity) at a fair price would be awesome! very space saving and super fun for finger drumming and playing, perfect, imo, for travel pairing with an ipad or laptop.
Adding the abilty to turn on and off both recieved and transmitted MIDI commands on the KO2 might help, but its not really an issue a firmware update could resolve.
Look into MIDI filtering hardware or software such as IConnect series of devices or MIDIOX software as an example.
It can be increadibly frustrating chasing down conflicts especially now with USB MIDI devices and how they are routed.
At 13:10 he says it’s a dual core but that they don’t even use the second core yet.
Not much of a computer guy but if it means it’s at 50% power then that makes me very excited for future updates.
Also it imports sustain loops and root note info he says later! I gotta say, I get good vibes off of these Scandinavian instrument makers.
Wow, teenage engineering just won my heart like that. What a great face for the company. I am pleasantly surprised. Good to know the EP series will expand.
Good to hear that they are taking responsibility for the fader situation. And good to hear they’re nowhere close to being done with the ep-133.
Also very interesting to know more about the process behind the ep-133 ko II and how they wanted it to make it both super easy to play and cheap to buy.
I distinctly remember people in here saying you cannot have a cheap product with on going support (looking at the Elektron Models)… Teenage engineering just proved you wrong
Had fun trying to complete a tune. The voice limit was frustrating, but was able to go through each scene step by step to remove individual one hits(to prevent the vox from getting cut off) hopefully without removing too much of the drums. Even with the limitations, this has got to be my most fun tool.
The voice limits seem annoying, would be cool if they allowed one voice to be locked to it never got stolen.
tbh i have not noticed the voice limits at all, i do work exclusively in mono but personally i have not ran into it
Made a track with about 6 drum sounds, 4 note chords, bass, lead, and a 2 note stab & did get some voice stealing, either that or a bug because it then went back to normal.
Obviously will be different dependent on what you make, but I think that if you have just one poly synth hooked up to it you’ll be absolutely fine. Obviously using chord samples is another way to go…
