Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II

My guess would be that the packaging will be different and hopefully more robust after the limited edition packaging runs out.

But it’s not all shipping related. Things have gone wrong after it arrived in working condition.

I would guess that it still is shipping related. That can happen.

10 to 1 you would have said something in this thread if yours arrived not fully functional or became faulty afterwards. But yeah, a different thread for those who have no issues is also understandable.

I think one can trust each other…for me the fadergate caught my attention because I’ve ordered from TE and therefore immediately stopped watching reviews and any info about it. If they’d ship it out I think there would be no problem or at least a nice short experience with the unit but the attention lead to the conclusion that iam fine and therefore safe someone from dragging this over just for me to open it and send it back. resources though

the not sampling while playing took me off and iam fine with that, overall its a fun Unit though.
I may get one when someone doesn’t know about fadergate and sells it for bits.

iam glad Elektron did 1.70 for the Rytm the same time last week

Because a ton of people had devices that arrived broken. It’s not a shitshow, this is actually the most civilized thread about a device with this many problems I’ve ever seen.

Restock

Totally. Peeps crush so hard over TE. Proof is in how forgiving this thread has been.

fair point of course. Mine works (so far) but the packaging was atrocious (via UPS) and the box was creased up and the inner TE packaging material that holds the unit was smashed in on one corner. I’m only mentioning it here now as that’s mostly what this thread has descended into.
The packaging is cheap and crap. End of. Nice photo though.
edit: and who knows… maybe after a few more hours the unit fails on me too.

Is this an actual restock or do they just expect more to come soon?
I have an order running at a local store who expects to receive some either this or next week.
Thinking of ordering from Sneaker store to see which one gets here quicker & cancel/return the other one.
Any experiences with this ?

This thread is basically a purgatory before ā€œep-133 tips and tricksā€ heaven thread

I don’t even have one yet and I both love and hate it.

Please tell me how I change scale, in keys mode…

Mine arrive and everything seems to work. It’s pretty fantastic.

Sorry no idea
but it was sold out for a few days and now in stock again

Teenage Engineering are the most popular manufacturer aside from Elektron on this forum… If views are anything to go by. Doesn’t anyway else feel this a bit weird?

gotta go to SYSTEM > PADS > KEY or SCA

IMO this is a pretty civilized discussion of the unit. Both pros and cons. Good things and things to be improved. I think it’s been a great resource for people on and outside of Elektronauts visiting for different opinions.

So this is embarrassing but sharing the info for interested parties:

I was doing some cleaning and accidentally used a cleaner on my K.O.II that had acetone in it (in case you don’t know it does NOT mix well with plastics). Anyway I smudged my screen and needed a replacement. I reached out to TE support and it looks like they have purchasable replacement screen parts. If they are planning more units in this form factor that makes sense to have as a spare part and I think that’s great.
