Tato ARA - new drum sequencer from Brazil

This just snuck into my YT feed, looks interesting:

Homepage appears to be a WIP.

I saw this too, but after about three minutes listening in while walking the dog, I still didn’t get if it was a drum machine, a midi / trigger sequencer, or something third.

The big ARA logo makes it visually hard to look at the device. Constructively saying it shoudn’t be there or that big.

I think it’s a hardware version of m4l sequencer, sending both soft triggers and has midi and cv out out, however, seems pretty limited to me, no microtiming, no velocity (only accent it seems), no p-locks or anything, so very bare bones hardware m4l sequencer, and you’ll probably still need to record your sequences into midi clips in Live.
dunno, I guess depends on the price it might be attractive to some.
