I’m looking to get a 2- track “master” recorder for recor ding my final mixes/masters without using a computer. There aren’t many options, so these 2 stand out. There is also a Denon, but I think I’d rather one of these 2 Tascam models.
Does anyone have experience with either? I’m just not convinced the DR would compete with the DA in overall sound quality. My biggest fear though it concerning the now 6 year old model that is the DA-3000. There’s quite the price difference which leads me to believe the DA is much higher AD/DA quality. The portability and therefore more usable design of the DR-100 mkiii is very appealing though.
Any input or experience would be greatly appreciated!
