Before someone hit me on this, SOLO has nothing to do with their iPad counterpart that is SFZ libraries from their collections and only SFZ.
SOLO is a real synth, it does also SFZ, SF2 but at its core it’s a real synth engine with 3 oscillators

One thing I can’t tell, can you trial it?

I’d need to test it to see how it would perform, CPU, etc.

I don’t think there’s a demo / trial
But reach them I do think, as many others than dont offer trial do, they probably offer a money back if you are not satisfied in any way. Maybe not but t worth to ask. Plus the synth is 50OFF at the moment so…

But yeah, I do think it’s not cool to not be able to demo stuff before to buy.

I would like to add on the top of what I wrote in this thread that the synth of course is not as powerful as other on the market for MPE like Equator 2 for instance or for Synthesis like Serum 2 or Pigments … BUT the pros of this synth is not synthesis power or MPE power. It’s more on great World Synth sounds libraries (everything else than Kontakt can’t offer, meaning more towards synthetic than acoustics) and more importantly microtonal tool embed into the synth… that offer plenty of exotic scales.

The guy really care of that as he explain into the video. It goes as far as giving some behavior into the synthesis parameters to help with any music in the world that is plays in a certain way. (Linked to the countries)

And to be honest it’s a joy (to me) to discover those microtonal nuances assigned to the sounds and midi examples.

Of course it’s not new, Scala tuning file was there before. But it’s not only tuning, it’s also sounds and the way it’s performed that make sense and gives authenticity.
