Table-top synth stand - Looking for

I’m looking for a synth stand like the Jasper stands, that is meant for standing on a table.

Here are some pictures of my table, and I would love to have a 3 tier stand for synths behind my current gear.

Why not Jasper?

I’m afraid this table will have too much weight on the one side and even if the stand is physically attached to the tabletop, it could be dangerous to you, your synths and your window. Even just freestanding it will be off balance, so if you lean into it hitting keys or pads or even just adjusting knobs you never know if it will tip.

I think that if your table were backed up against a wall then you could probably get away with what you’re after by tying the stand into the wall studs with L brackets and also to the tabletop to secure it a bit against the effects of gravity, but in your current situation I might advise against this course of action.

You obviously invested significant money into your setup, I probably wouldn’t want to take the risk but it’s your call.

Because they are meant for standing on a floor, but I want to use this table, and add “shelves” to it.

You’re absolutely right actually. They table is even a bit wobbly. I guess putting the table against a wall and using wall attached Jasper like synth shelves would be an option. Anyone know of something like that?

So maybe to elaborate a bit more on what I’m thinking.

Looking for a wall attached system of shelves, that work in a similiar fasion as the Jasper stands, where one can slant music gear and adjust the height of each shelf.

Not sure if this exists… would be amazing.

I’m trying to look right now and see if there’s a something like a double wide jasper where you might be able to exempt the bottom shelf and maybe just have the whole A frame slide over the back of the desk. Do you know the width of that table you’re trying to accommodate?

Good idea actually, but I think I’ve realised that the table is to woobly for a stand to safely stand on top of it.

I thought of a stand that might slide over the table and stand on the floor, but the table is 160cm in width, and the widest Jasper stand is 150cm…

Wall attaching a Jasper stand with the bottom part sawed off might also work.

5cm per side? I know what I would do

Yes you’re right actually!!!

but yeah, don’t offset the balance of that table with too much weight on one side, as long as you’re decided on that then everything else will fall into place. the actual table top isn’t that thick either and who knows if it’s solid wood or MDF, it’s just better not to risk it.

I would definitely feel comfortable shaving 5 cm off each side to get a jasper to slide over it though, and you may be able to get extra stability tying the stand and tabletop together if you’re clever about it.

Yeah I think this is a solid solution. Something like this to go over the table would be amazing, and even utilizing the bottom bars as a support for the table, by pushing the bars up against the under side of the tabletop.
