Hey everyone!
I’m happy to share my project on Analog four: an album and a soundpack.
It is a perfect timing after the latest firmware update.
Entirely the album made with SYNTX/FORM : a project with 16 kits, 16 patterns, 16 macros templates, 16 fxs templates and 34 drum sounds loaded to the sound pool. 98 patches in total.
Inspired by 20’s idm especially the latest albums of autechre, machinedrum and monomachine sounds.
More info coming soon.
Hope you enjoy it!

Awesome man! Can’t wait to dig into this.
Thank you @DonovanDwyer hope you like it! ![]()
super cool idea to release the sound pack along with the album, but I do not see how to get the sound pack on the site?
I was planning to check the album out later, do you get a link to download the sound pack when you buy it or something like that?
Thanks man!
So here is the link for the project:
This is all A4?
Impressive work!
Very appreciated man! ![]()
Yes! Only A4 , only 4 voices. Performance macros and switching from Euclidean to normal sequencer is the trick.
Thanks for listening.
P.s only in track sf03 there is a pad from DN.
The 16 tracks of the album is a selection of 75 recordings from a lot more jams.
This one is one of those, that I didn’t put in the album. It is more focused on drums and I’m testing the performance macros . For example I have : 1 is routed to osx pitch mod, amp rev, lfo depth, noise level and amp dec. 2 is for lfo speed, lfo depth, Osc detume, osc freq mod, amp sustain and 3rd for amp delay and osc sub. So 3 different macros for track 1, which I have the drums.
What do you think guys? Are you using performance macros on your A4
Would you like me to share more macros ideas or sounds?
Yes please share some ae type beats in a project (like in the recording you posted above !
I bought the $20 soundpack to try on my A4 mk1 and spent a couple hours so far tweaking the perf macros, etc…not sure what im doing wrong, but im not hearing much that sounds like in your album. It’s kind of cool but I was hoping there would be more beat type stuff. I cant afford any more soundpacks…
Hey there! Thanks for took the time dive in the project.
First of all I don’t have an analog four mki to test the project but from my knowledge should load all the patterns, sound locks, live recordings, sound pool etc without any problem.
You asked me where are the drum , percussion sounds. You can load them from the sound pool. You hold a trig in the sequencer and you turn the track level knob to find the sound you like. There are 34 sounds inspired from Machinedrum and Monomachine.
To answer the question where are the sounds from the album.
The 16 tracks from the album do not represent the 16 patterns from the project although I have used ONLY the kit of the project to make that album. It is my interpretation of how one can use these kits.
Anyway the track sf02 is the pattern 12 on the project.
Track sf 11 is pattern 2 with added sound locks. Sf01 is pattern 3. Pattern 10 is the track that I have uploaded earlier. Sf016 is pattern 13. Sf06 is pattern 14. Sf05 made with the pattern 15. Sf10 I tweaked the pattern 4. Sf12 is pattern 16. Sf09 is pattern 1.
Which track you liked and you cannot perform?
How if perform live these pattterns ? Usually I have one track for the drums. I load 16 sounds from the sound pool. I add probability or conditional locks. I mute unmute tracks. I switch from Euclidean sequencer to normal . I play with the macros. I have one tack with a percussive sound from the kit , load all 16 trigs to the sequencer then live record some quick gestures tweaking Velocity, trig length, filter frequency, filter depth, amp attack, amp decay , lfo speed. Etc.
When I want fast ratchets I use arp with different sound locks and probability.
If you like these fast idm tracks you need to play a lot live. Not just tweaking the macros. If you like the ambient stuff you can only use macros.
I will make also a video to explain better all these if you like.
Thanks for the detailed reply, that helps clarify some stuff for me. Seems I need to work on this much more and will get back to you if i have any questions.
I really enjoyed the album ! Really impressive what you can cope with the A4 , I wish some tracks were a bit longer but I liked it a lot congrats. I miss my a4 sometimes. A proof you don’t need 35 synth to achieve great things !
Thank you very much man! Glad you like it.
A4 is awesome ![]()
This is really useful. I also bought the soundpack and struggled to get anything remotely like what I hear on your album… but I did really start to understand the power of Perf and seeing how you’ve set those up (including labelling) is very useful and inspiring.
I’m going to play more based on this post… and I’d love to see a video should you ever make one.
Congratulations. Great project!
Yeah, please make a video, thanks.
