Hey everyone!
I m happy to share SYNTX:CONTROL , the 3rd and final project in my Idm series for A4.
Syntx:control is a collection of 21 macros cheat sheets in sci-fi style infographics pdf art book.
Each one with 50 destinations and values suggestions.
It is designed to turn your performance macros into dynamic instruments. You can morph time and space. Drag rhythms into slow motion, trigger mechanical ratcheting rolls or collapse dry beats into massive washed out ambient echoes.
For those who doesn’t like diy I have a project with all the kits.
Hope you enjoy it.
Some sounds from the lab.
The Moto is live sounds better.
Gotta check this out, thanks dude!

Designing the SYNTX: CONTROL Macro Maps
When you build complex macro routings on the Analog Four, things can get chaotic fast. You have 10 macros per kit, and each one pushing up to 5 parameter destinations across different tracks although it’s easy to lose track of what is modulating what, or end up with a tangled mess.
To organise my thoughts, I started the old-school way: pen and paper.
I went through dozens of layout sketches before landing on a system that actually worked. Fitting this much technical data onto a single A4 page without it looking overwhelming wasn’t easy:
- Kit & Track Topology: A breakdown of the sonic concept for the kit, plus the patch role and oscillator setup for every individual track (T1–T4).
- Macro Functionality: A clear explanation of what each performance knob (A–J) actually does musically; from ratcheting percussion to spatial dissolution.
- 5 Way Routing: Exact destination parameters, explicit target tracks (T1, T2, FX), and calibrated depth values.
The result is a clean, brutalist visual manual that acts as your tactical blueprint, giving you full control over your machine without the guesswork.
Does it help to your live performance a system like that?

I don’t have an Analog 4 anymore, but dayum I wished I had it back now! These are some incredibly crispy sounding examples!
Thanks for listening. I hope you get it back one day!
This is some serious nerdism. I love it. ![]()
I’ve done a lot myself, but there’s still so much left to explore in A4.
Thanks for putting so much loving effort into this whole sonic universe. Simply incredible.
Thank you very much @B_LD
I know you are a long time passionate user of our beloved machine, so I appreciate your thoughts.
I had a very long and slow learning journey with A4 especially with this project. Everything started with pen and paper , there wasn’t other way. Texts, diagrams , layouts. Then spreadsheets. Then came the use of Ai assistant to render all that, which is a pain in the ass. A lot of trial and error. Each image takes up to 10 min to render and not always was right . Then again. To map all the routings takes minimum 2 hours. Anyway I had to share all this stuff and hope more people use this machine more often.![]()
