Synthstrom Audible Deluge [inc. Open Source development]

Reminds me of the Octatrack. Has some extras kinda thrown in and not quite up to the level of a DAW but you could make yourself think it can really replace one. Technically true but … yeah not really

The Deluge was a good pick for me because I saw it as a Pyramid minus the focus on loops, but plus sampling. The synth engine and audio clip support are bonuses. I prefer it over MPC (and being forced to always rely on Ableton, and probably something like the Force) because it is fluid and cures distraction just like the Pyramid. I think the sequencing and sampling are its strongest features.

I miss that screen though. :sob:

Adding MPE was kinda weird since synth editing on this thing is so low resolution. The jump from 0 to 1 to 2 on things like envelope stages is ginormous by a sound designer’s standards!

Still, a friend of mine has an MPE controller … could be fun to play with! Just groove with the limitations
