Syntakt, unintentional CC looping back from Ableton

Edit: I’ve found a half solution and that is to set one of the tracks to channel 16. However it still sends MIDI cc to the other channels and the midi devices on them, and while the blue hand is active in Ableton it means those other tracks are still controlling whatever rack I have selected via the MIDI LFO

Hi guys, I’ve got a MIDI loopback issue I can’t seem to fix (using overbridge)

I’m using the CC controllers on a midi machine on my Syntakt to control an LFO rack in Ableton live (with the blue hand)

The issue is the rack was made to send MIDI cc back to Syntakt to control it with LFO’s inside Ableton. When I Set the rack to modulate Syntakt via MIDI cc74 (filter cutoff), the midi loops back and also controls the knobs on the “CC value” page because they share the same CC values as the filter controls :frowning: . How could i possibly fix this? I’ve even set the MIDI machine channel to 16, but it seems to be receiving the looped back midi on all channels (I’ve tried channel filtering devices to no avail).

I understand I can set the “MIDI to” in Ableton’s “external instrument” to go to a different track/channel than the one I’m controlling it from. But then I’d be losing a track that could have been used as an audio track. The way it is now is pattern 1 is all audio tracks and pattern 2 is all midi tracks to control Ableton live.

Is there some way to get around this?

I attached pics of how my routing is set up

The only way I could get syntakt to receive midi cc from Live’s devices is by creating that second chain
