Syntakt sound finding

I often have the situation not finding back which sound i had selected (even i stored it) f.e. on my channel 6. How can i identify which sound was selected? I get shown in the sound browser always a sound which was not originally selected. mostly A 001 OSMOS and my sound was in F 017. YTs are really not good. So the soundbrowser is not applicable to retrieve the sound which is actually played.
And finally i really do not know how to handle the ‘sound pool’ and for what it is good for. Is there a good doku for it.

When you press the button to select the track, it should briefly display the name of the patch at the top of the screen, if that’s what you mean.

The sound pool is useful if you want to trigger multiple sounds on the same track, as long as their on different trigs. So you could trigger a kick and a snare on the same track, meaning you don’t need to have a dedicated track for each sound. I don’t really use it because 12 tracks is more than enough for me, but I found it useful sometimes on the Model:Cycles since it only has 6 tracks; it can be a clever way to consolidate multiple sounds to one track, so you have a much wider variety of sounds in a pattern that isn’t limited to the number of tracks you have.

Reading the manual can make you an expert, it’s absolutely worth it!
