Syntakt OS 1.40 + Overbridge 2.25.3

Firmware being used - Syntakt OS 1.40 + Overbridge 2.25.3
OS - Windows 11
DAW - Ableton Live 12 Suite

Issue - I’m having a problem with Overbridge picking up Syntakt with it’s latest firmware. I’ve tried -

  • Using the Elektron USB hub
  • Plugging the Syntakt directly into my computer
  • Restarting Syntakt/ my computer
  • Reinstalling Overbridge
  • Reinstalling OS 1.40 for Syntakt
  • Trying a different USB cable

When I switch the USB config to USB MIDI, or USB Audio/ MIDI, Overbridge notifies me that my Syntakt is not in Overbridge mode, so there is a connection from the Syntakt to my computer… But when I switch to Overbridge mode, the device in Ableton says “Attempting to auto-select a device. Please make sure your device is connected and powered on”.

Currently, I am having success with Overbridge 2.25.3 and Digitone 2. No problem.

I have successfully used Digitakt 2, Digitone, and Digitakt before, AS WELL as Syntakt on previous versions of Overbridge/ Syntakt OS, so this definitely isn’t my first rodeo with Elektron, Overbridge, and Ableton…

I hope the information provided is thorough enough. Let me know if I’m missing anything…

Just to report Syntakt (also 1.40) with Overbridge 2.25.3 and Ableton 12.2.7 works very well on MacOS over here, used it yesterday.

Does your Transfer app recognize Syntakt, btw?

Yep, just updated the OS today with Transfer. Even tossed the Twin Shot samples on there.

Hope it’s the same on Windows, but over here I got the standalone Syntakt app/device (not connected currently). So if you fire that up and the issue is the same, at least you eliminate one part of the equation - Ableton.

Yeah, same issue in the standalone, as well as the plugin within Ableton. The drop down like you displayed also says “no device selected!”, as well as a text at the bottom saying it’s trying to connect.

I’m on a Mac too so can’t confirm/deny Windows functionality

I’d completely uninstall Overbridge, reboot, reinstall it, reboot, try again.

Also, happen to have access to another computer you can install Overbridge on and try?
