Hello, i want to trigger the midi notes from syntakt to ableton via usb. Is there a way to do it. At this time it only works with midi DIN connections f.e. together with an MIDI/DIN/USB Interface but not Syntakt standalone via usb even i have set the output switch to midi+usb. But ableton shows no incoming midi
Midi device set to syntakt. What elese to check?
Are you using a midi track on the Syntakt ?
Double/triple check your system settings
Also, verify that your Syntakt is not set to overbridge mode, it needs to be either in USB MIDI or USB MIDI+AUDIO
If you’re trying to use the syntakt as a midi controller to send notes to ableton you’ll also need to make sure that the trig key destination is set to INT+EXT.
Is it possible for the syntakt to receive notes from ableton and save it as a track pattern? Let’s say something like an arpeggio
You can , but an arp is a lot of notes per step which isn’t very suitable for Syntakt / digitakt 1&2 sequencer
You’ll only get lots of notes per step if you double the tempo of a arp track …
So main tracks could be 120
Arp track could be 240 to get double the steps
The main seq is more suitable for a chord - ie 3 notes at the same time that share not length , velocity and trigger ( I think )
Digitone 2 has a more advanced sequencer so it can likely do a better job
For basic ableton midi to Syntakt it should be able to record notes , you might want to check micro timing , I’m unsure how accurate it might be in terms of timing
