Really? All right, then. Thanks a lot
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but did a search and couldnât find an answer.
I just re-acquired a Syntakt after a month away from it, and this has jumped out to me âŚ.
New project
Iâm feeding my DT into the SN inputs. Level up, routed to FX track
Iâve set the audio routing to global fx mix / fx filter unchecked
Store temp Ptn with filter open, do a LP filter sweep, go to reload pattern to open it again, the graphic changes, but the filtered sound doesnât. As soon as I touch any filter paprameter it opens up again.
Tried putting a trig (or trigless trig) on step one. This does then reset it, but itâs not the same behaviours as normal SN tracks where it immediately reloads the setting on FUNC > NO
Thatâs weird behaviour and donât remember my old sessions with SN having this problem.
Hopefully itâs just user error.
EDIT. I notice that when I have normal SN tracks running, then it works as expected. It didnât seem to work when I had no notes actually running in SN. I guess thatâs to do with something my brain doesnât comprehend at this time in the morning

EDIT 2. This is such a badass machine. Sounds so good. Iâve been around the block with MPC, Ableton etc etc, but SN and DT together are where Iâve landed, and I must pay respects to Elektron for really creating objects of beauty
Iâve seen delay clicks on analog machines were fixed a couple of releases ago, but I still see this bug.
OS 1.20A
SY RAW machine
The clicks occurred on fast melodies.
Clicks start at 0:14. There are clean sound, and delay on slow notes at the beginning of the sample to show there are no clicks.
Apologies if this has been discussed here already â does anyone have an experience with the Syntaktâs analog voices going haywire when switching from pattern to pattern?
Very occasionally when I switch from pattern to pattern more rapidly, the analog voices seem to get confused, âlatchâ to the highest possible note and start gliding down, irrespective of whatâs in the sequencer for the particular pattern. Obvs very scary in a live situation â you have to completely restart the machine and reload the project.
Ran the calibration 1-2x, still happens every now and then (few times / month) did not do a factory reset (yet). Bought mine on day one, not sure if relevant.
edit: running latest OS, Iâll try to replicate (not sure how, but will try :)) and post for reference
No portamento enabled on those tracks?
Nope, I might have some tracks in some patterns using portamento but this is a scenario where all analog tracks go apeshit across all patterns until you reboot + reload project, just doing a project reload doesnât help at this stage.
I dug a little and (probably) found the culprit. Hereâs a video of the replication in a brand new project.
New project â> Load up the RS Hard machine on an Analog track and turn Sweep Time & Decay up (120+).
Put some triggers in the sequence, press play, if you then change to a different pattern it will take about a minute for the oscillator to reset on the analog track if you have SY RAW on it (DVCO, kicks etc. seem not to be affected).
I like to use the RS engines for weird melodies, didnât occur to me this could happen. Not sure if itâs even a bug, will try to follow up with support, in the meantime Iâll be careful around RS Hard .)
Not sure if this should be considered a bug, but Iâd like to ask for confirmation of something.
When i live record certain parameter locks, there is a significant lag in response time. For instance, this happens when i SHIFT + adjust TUNE on the tone machine during live recording.
Can anyone confirm this?
Came across a weird one, using one track for a Microfreak, have a program change plocked to the first trig, Freak doesnât pick it up on pattern start. Double-tapping stop and playing again usually gets it change correctly.
The weirder thing though is when I change patterns (which are copies so no change in that track at all) the Freak receives a program change for an unwanted patch (Iâm using patch #8 and it jumps to #5 consistently) and wonât change unless itâs done manually on ST or the Freak itself.
Iâve tried plocking each step (itâs pretty sparse) to the correct bank, sub-bank and PG but it still doesnât bite.
Routing is tr9 midi - Freak (ch1), Freak audio to ST input and FX block.
Both devices are running the latest firmware.
Edit: also noticed that reloading a copied pattern thatâs temp saved cleared it completely
So Iâm sure weâve all accidently hit âclearâ to undo a recording while the recorder was armed. This clears the pattern instead. ( I wish electron would change this). Hitting clear again quickly is supposed to undo this but this functionaly has stopped working for me. Sometimes it does but most of the time not.
Pretty sure this is an actual bug.
Pretty sure that some other activity is happening after you clear - e.g. midi or even an errant encoder movement - but if it was a bug it would almost certainly affect others - no issues here ⌠i can leave the undo as long as i like and it always clears
thatâs what the command does since forever across all devices, itâs not gonna change - you just need to be on your game to switch into track mode or to have Temp saved the pattern first with [FUNC] + [YES] and reload it with [FUNC] + [NO]
Thanks. I was using extra LFOâs via over bridge that input was causing my undo issue. âthatâs what the command does since forever across all devicesâ I guess it just me but this feels like an over sight. To me logical function for clear while the recording is armed is to clear the track youâre recording on not the whole project. Instead you have to stop your flow and record a new take to undo
Havenât submitted a bug report yet, but looking for clarification on FX block mute/unmute behavior. Muting the FX track in song mode or in global mute mode does not disable the FX block. I am assuming it just mutes the trigs on the sequencer. Shouldnât the behavior of muting be akin to unrouting anything routed to it?
The FX Block mutes the same way as all the other tracks mute, just preventing the trigs from playing. If you want to change the routing you have to do so in the fx routing screen.
Thought so. Thatâs disappointing.
Yeah, I found it doesnât bother me too much when I am using it for ducking, but when you are enveloping and mute and everything in the FX block goes completely silent, not a wonderful experience. Just something to be mindful about though.
Started a fresh project last night, turned off all options in settings > midi sync so purely standalone, and pattern length wonât change from 16 steps. I can see the trigs on pages 2-4 but it only plays the first page. In conjunction with my previous issues mentioned a couple of posts back I think I might need to reset it completely, is there anything silly I might have missed before I do?
scaled swing functionality: i have a pattern with swing. i have a track which is scaled to one quarter (so each step is a crotchet). the timing on those notes is completely out of whack, presumably cos the swing is being applied to that in an incorrect way - is this right? iâve only had the unit an hour
So this is a difficulty with the way swing works. It always works the same regardless of track scaling, so something scaled in half is swung like it is half the tempo. All of the digi devices have this behavior and it makes them a little annoying to use track scaling with swing. It would be manageable with microtiming if you could do swing per track like the model cycles and samples. Definitely a frustration, but not exactly a bug necessarily.
Does this mean Iâm the only one experiencing it, or that no one can be bothered?
I feel so neglected.
