Syntakt audio track midi sequence out

How can i receive midi from syntakt in ableton? currently i checked all In/0ut Midi/USB possibilities but no success. Is it possible via USB to ableton, or only via din MiDI cable? I mean the midi from the audio maschines.

It can be done… Just did it for 1st time last night, literally the 1st time I ever used a DAW.
I’m scared to try to walk you through it for fear of leading you astray.
Make a track, midi I think, and there should be a popup list of devices in that track, this is where I found syntakt.
Sorry if this isn’t much help lol.

To my knowledge, the audio tracks on elektron devices don’t generate midi. I think you can change the same track to a midi machine which will keep the sequencer data intact, or copy the note data (for example) to a midi track and then send that to ableton.

This is possible with USB or DIN, but only with a midi track, that’s my understanding.

This is regarding using ST as a controller for ableton, or a source of midi, not regarding sending midi from ableton to a syntakt audio track which is possible, however sending midi from one of the ST’s audio machines is what I believe that you cannot do.

Or if you can, in some way (loopback etc), it’s not supported by elektron.

This same query was answered for you a few days ago wrt the DN2 … it’s the same for the ST … audio tracks do not, by design, output Sequenced Midi to sequence the MIDI you need to copy to a Midi track
