Syntakt as drum-machine vs the world

Find me another drum machine that can go from this

To this

Syntakt is a clever little bastard.

Lovely sounds on both

Is it only one hi hat with delay, analog? Ducking kick via fx track?

Fuck knows, it was years ago.

I know you will cut my head offšŸ˜‚ but thats exactly the Problem. First one is kind of an overdriven 808 and second one yeah who knows but the distinct sounds it can make are not all that special. Its not a bad machine, not sayin that. But it could be way more creative in terms of sounds. Look at the Erica Synth Perkons Voice Eurorack Modul. This thing packs.

I mean, this is straight out of the Syntakt as well. Compare that with Fin’s armageddon and I think the machine has quite a bit of range to say the least.

You did an impressive job there! That was a fun thread, it really opened my eyes to what the Syntakt can do.

Thanks! And I’m glad I contributed to that, because you’ve gone and coaxed some amazing sounds out of that box since

Yes, we don’t know, indeed. That should be more question than a statement, my bad.

Anyway, even if Syntakt is not a full blown synthesizer it is still a banger. The sequencer is dope, machines sound good.

But if Elektron released a combo of Digitakt, Syntakt and Digitone then it would be a killer.

Almost any sample-based drum machine can do both of these (you didn’t specify said sounds would need to be synthesized from the ground up  )

You’re so smart and cool

The second clip is absolutely crazy. I did not know the syntactic could make that kind of sound

I know right? I control the galaxies and get intoxicated by my own farts
