Syncing the Digitakt with the Roland SE-02 sequencer

sorry to bump this but i am stuck syncing the se02 to my dt1

i have dt1 sending midi and can play the se02 notes on dt1 but i can’t start and stop the se02 sequencer - i can use the dt1 sequencer tho but i wanted to use the se02 sequencer…whats wrong with me?

…side note not sure why i bought this it sounds a lot like the Vermona mono lancet i have also the controls on the se02 are really very tiny and not particularly tactile anyway…groan…saying this it does sound very good
