Syncing Digitakt with looper pedal

Hi !
I just received the new Boss RC-5 looper, which I bought because of its MIDI sync input. I want to sync the midi clock from my Digitakt to the looper. However, once everything is plugged, no sync is to be seen.

I think I setup correctly my Digitakt settings (clock send, midi/usb through midi ports), and I did the same with the looper settings.
I’m using a midi-mini Jack cable, maybe I need to try it with an usb cable?

This is my first time trying to sync hardware together so I’m a bit lost here.

Any idea how to solve this?

You know there are two types (or polarities, if you like) of converters from DIN-midi to mini-jack midi ? They’re called Type A and Type B and manufacturers mostly stick to one or the other.

If you think that might be your issue, I can post more info.

I did not know! I just ordered the official one from Boss, I’ll see if it solves my issue. Thank you :slight_smile:

@Masu

Hi. Did you manage to make your setup work?
I’m planning out how to bridge the gap between my model:cycles on one hand, and my guitar looping on the other. Thanks!

Hello. Yes it worked with the official Boss BMIDI-5-35 midi cable. I had to configure few settings in Digitakt and in looper, but that was easy and now it works like a charm!
