Sync Rytm with Ableton for a live setup

Hey DLID,

so what I do at moment is to use LINK TO MIDI App. It works fine…sometimes there are drop outs, but I am sure its between my ears, so a kind of hustle with my MIDI-Brain (iConeectivity Mio10)

check this, its a very good connection to Ableton Link…

cheers, chris

Hi,
I am really interested in the Link to midi app but didn’t have time to try it and forgot about it. Could you do a series of bass drums or any other percussive sound and record into live to check?
Aparrently there is no jitter according to the programmer.
I am using a multi clock at the moment but if there was a way to sync everything to a link signal it would be awesome as this would allow to easily sync some hardware to a setup using Traktor or serrato.

49€ solution? (And compact)

For modular type clock system tho…

How could this be used to sync the Rytm to Ableton live? Is there a hack?

Yep. I made a mistake, ONLY works for cv type clock.
Sorry for the false hope.

I didn’t read the whole thread but since OS1.31 the Rytm does NOT sync over USB anymore. This is a error in the current firmware and Elektron promised to fix this. altough this takes months already so i carry a extra Bomebox (https://www.bome.com/products/bomebox) for my live performances now.

So since OS 1.31 there is only sync over MIDI, Overbridge and Trigger sync.

If this is your issue you can write a ticket to Elektron support. They can provide another firmware.
