MDynamicEq is free until July 16th.
I’ve been looking for a dynamic eq and apart from the 5 band limit, this looks pretty beastly

Steinberg are running an Arturia promo, 50% off V9 and Pigments.
(there are likely better offers direct from Arturia if you own a previous version, but if you have none of their software already, this looks like a pretty good deal!)
Intro deal on their new plugin, Equalizer. Really like Wavefactory’s other plugins, especially Spectre.
This looks very interesting… I’m trying to be more productive in terms of releasing stuff and find the manual eq approach quite time consuming.
Has anyone used this? Thoughts?
I’ll try the demo as well
[I am mostly using hardware, but as a general FYI]:
For me, it would be cheaper to buy this than to update from V4 using Arturia’s offer.
Just tested the Wavesfactory Equilizer plugin on some rough mixes I created for some of my videos (essentially straight from Model Cycles, roll off low end with stock Logic EQ and used PA MasterDesk for “mastering”). I dropped equalizer in between my super simple mastering chain and played a bit with the parameters.
Verdict = Wow! Huge improvement. Cleaner, vastly more transparent and very balanced. I’m buying it.
so is this like track spacer?
Not at all. What makes you say that?
haven’t had a chance to look into it, that’s why I asked
I didn’t try trackspacer but from my understanding, trackspace is reverse sidechaining the mix and giving you the best eq “space” for your instrument/track.
Equalizer is essentially monitoring your entire mix (or individual instruments if just used on a track) and boosting/cutting freqs to “balance” your mix. Not balance regarding panorama but rather giving you that nice “sausage” eq (i.e. roll offs on the the low and high end and neutral/flat in the middle) if that all makes sense.
Highly recommend trying the demo.
My main goal is to use it on quick mixes I make for youtube videos and such but it may see action on my album mixes. For the former, it brightened the mix in a very good way, removed a lot of mud/masking and brought every sound out from behind the mask.
Honestly, I was very impressed how much better it sounded. But again, this is a mix that I did mainly within in the Model Cycles (if you can call that mixing) and then basic eq/mastering.
It’s going to be a huge time saver while improving the sound of these mixes. $60 was a no-brainer for me.
Sounds like it is more like something like Gulfoss?
I think so too, or TEOTE?
Teote is a frequency balancing plugin. It’s awesome for smoothing out a track but it’s not a substitution for tone scultping you get using trad eq.
K-Devices on sale again. Some good Max Devices for Ableton users here.
And Goldbaby has 40% off
don’t overlook their VST/AU plug ins. they’re clever, useful tools
