Anyone going to Superbooth this year? One month left ![]()
Please don’t tell us how sexy the DMNO in Oberheim white is. lol
I am going, for the first time (I have never been to anything like it before). Still haven’t bought event tickets, but flights and accommodations are booked. My partner has a work meeting in Kreuzberg May 11-13. When she found out about it, she said to me, “Isn’t Superbooth in Berlin in May?” She is not at all into synths, but will come with me on Friday; I will go all three days. Happy to meet up with Elektronauts on Thursday and Saturday.
I am also there again. I couldn’t make it last year, but I’m happy to be there this year. It looks like I missed the only year when they did a gear raffle.
I suspect this list is not complete. Intellijel is not on it, and I can’t imagine them skipping this year.
Saw it at Bristronica, can confirm.
This will be my second Superbooth, I’ll be there. I felt like I missed out on stuff that was happening before and after the exhibition, so I’m trying to figure out where to look to see what else is going on. @cuckoomusic are you performing in Berlin this year?
I’ll bet he’s there showing off Cuckoo’s Secret Instrument ( post ).
I’ve been expecting that to be shown at Superbooth right when i heard about it.
Who is actually making this keyboard synth is the bigger mystery.
Are we expecting any exciting new synth?
Besides the Secret Instrument that i just mentioned, how about the Elta Music Polivoks-8 ( post ) ?
( Thanks @sacguy71 ! )
There is lots of other possibilities, check the Gear In Progress thread.
There’s a Korg live presentation on the first day, that could be a new instrument. Looking at the other events, maybe Erica Synths
That could be for the phase 8. But Korg is likely to have maybe a half dozen new things as they regularly do at most Superbooths.
I enjoyed it for the first time last year. One tip: for the Sunday afterwards, check if Berlin Modular is hosting anything at KlunkerKranich (cool rooftop bar). I chanced upon it by accident, and saw True Cuckoo there.
Polivoks 8 and Drumding for me well eventually may get a Buchla Music Easel and P10 or P6.
I see Analog Sweden and Nystöm’s Crum2 on there!
That’s a big one I’ve been looking forward to.
Speaking of Sequential it’s possible they’ll show the mini key sibling they are developing to the Fourm.
( post )
Also in that post you’ll see that PWM can quite possibly show up with one or two keyboard synths they have, that are pretty far along.
I’ll also be interested to see if any other gear shows up that Love Hultén has had a hand in with design and development. We’re starting to see his influence showing up in commercial gear now, which is good to see. Adds a little bit of a fantasy element to design.
I’m going there with some friends, it’s my first visit to SB and Berlin ![]()
I’ll probably looking out for cool eurorack modules again
