Describes about 90% of the experiences with gear I’ve purchased over the past 20 years. Well said. Funny that a trade show meant to showcase gear and inspire deals/sales/production, can in fact have the opposite effect on some “consumers”. I think you have a very healthy outlook!
I thought it was some kind of switch (there were different machines from Twisted elektrons and an Osmose as master keyboard). But maybe I misinterpreted the thing
Just so you know, the company is Sonicware, not Liven lmao, but yeah the display makes the workflow a bit rough to say the least.
Oh yeah, this was definitely a miss by Korg, everyone was waiting on a better/bigger version of the volca drums and they did this instead, the huge price discount can tell how popular this one is.
Thanks, I corrected it. I have the Lofi-12. It is funny that all machines have the same layout and buttons but somehow completely different. With the MegaDrive thingy I realized that for me the proper approach for that kind of music is Furnace Tracker
A lot of things come into play why we like cash. Its uncomplicated and direct, you dont need a company for it, you can give tips to the shops. And so on and so on. Finaly, how would you recognize all the cool different styles of Euros from the different european countries?
Thanks for the input, but I was more specifically talking about the Models line. I am fairly sure they will support the DT II for long years exactly like they did for DT1 since they are Elektron best sellers…
The future for the Models is a bit more blurry… they really haven’t changed since their releases and recently gotten a massive price drop.
I am not an economics expert by any means…but I think selling higher priced items seems logical to me in some way.
The people to last give up spending in an economic low would be the ones with more money…meaning the people that can afford luxury goods like a higher priced Digitakt. (Reminding myself that I am not one of those )
And the people who would go for a lower priced anyway might have to strap their belt a bit tighter.
Also win margins will probably be a lot higher on the DT…so they don’t have to sell at such a huge scale.
Again…I don’t have any clue though
Ah, understand. Maybe somebody who is there today or tomorrow can ask? I don’t remember having seen a model in their booth. There were about 4 DTII, an A4, Analog Heat. I believe a Syntakt, too. (Did I overlook Rytm, OT, DN? ). Would be great if someone could check this today, too
