Subtrack Round Robin

I can tell you the Isla s2400 supports round robin , although I parted with mine.
But this is great to hear as I just ordered my TV.

Some MPC too I think. Modular but Disting Ex, Disting NT and Assimil8tor supports round robin too. Having it all in one package like the Tonverk makes life easier though.

I do not have a Tonverk so can’t tell if it works but this can help creating an eldrum preset. It assumes you can set multiple wavs per velocity boundaries but I don’t know if the Tk will read that.
imported the one above, modified the assign mode and exported again and it seemed ok.
created with Google Gemini.
use at your own risks!

Very cool BUT
CMON ELEKTRON! so damn close - having to prep a samples in a sample workstation is ugh, dumb?

Subtracks should have pools and I can literally chop a sample / slice manually into each bank.

We want slice, chop, timestretch CMONNNNNNNN this thing is so close.

can or will it be able to handle mute groups?

Either if we find out if mute groups are possible at all, or whenever Elektron implements mute groups and we find it out after that

Erm. 1/16th sample and hold modulation to the slice of a sample chain, no?

Yes, once the GRID machine materialized, that’s how I would achieve it. Or rather Random Robin, or whatever you might call it. @jeanne has called out the difference a couple of times.

To be more specific though, what I was missing was “Round Robin with Same Note Polyphony”, as it has been a long standing wish for me to have cymbals tails, kick booms and clap reverbs be able to trail out over each other.
If not you cut the sound short when you trigger the same (but round robin’ed) sound, and you get that dreaded click from the sample being truncated at a random sample value, which no amount of amp attack or other tricks can remove.

That’s mainly why I’m stoked about this new machine and it’s polyphonic cababilities

Can the round robin subtrack go beyond 6x samples?

Curious…

RR chains of up to 8 would be fun for sampling DFAM loops

i’ve tried with 24 samples per pad, it works, not sure if/where there are limitations - it’s all guesswork until this is documented officially.

So DFAM loops are a go then :heat:

I’m going to have such a blast with TV

nice

Nice find, and I love that both these, the multis, and the presets, are all in plain text.
