Had a Streichfett delivered today,
Got home, plugged in… nothing.
Tried firmware update…nothing
Switched to midi omni…nothing
Sent it sysex factory patches…nothing.
Not even line noise through headphones.
The mac recognises it via usb. Thats about it.
Anyone else have this problem?
Looks like i send it back for another shot at it.
Sorry to hear that. :\ not had a problem with mine tho, do the lights come on? To select midi channel (for streichfett) you press and hold all 4 preset buttons whilst pressing any key from your controller to choose that midi Chanel. The preset LEDs should flash (subtly) when it receives midi messages. Hope you sort it without any more fuss.

Im sure its just a dud one and a replacement will be fine.

No probs. I always find midi to be one of this things I take for granted then end up getting confused by it so thought I’d throw the suggestion out there. I’m sure you know what your doing tho. Ha.
It’s a really nice thing I love mine, was about to buy a poly synth just for a certain strings/pad sound and this nails it without any crossover to my other stuff at a small price. Do like the box per job approach rather than loads of boxes that do loads of things. 
Heard from the distributor today that during manufacture of some units, the top two screws fixing the faceplate are overtightened. This results in internal damage!
If anyone else reads this,
Test your unit before taking it home.
Anyway, have sent it back to melbourne and will get a replacement… Next week
