Spotify Data Breach & NFT Fraud

Long story short it looks like this company; https://nftmusic.stream/ have stolen Spotifys music library, have illegally re-hosted all the music on their own service; https://streamer.fm/ and are minting NFT’s. My music has been stolen; Akio Dāku | NFT MUSIC STREAM if your stuff is on Spotify, yours will of been too. I suggest you have a check, and issue a DMCA takedown with their registrar; https://support.namecheap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit/RenderForm/228

This is so stupid. I can’t believe how stupid everything is.

Hope you and everyone else get their music back.

I know, it’s getting beyond a joke… :woman_facepalming:t6:

When all this will stop ? :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Nice, my music is on that… I feel like I won’t be able to keep up with tickets to remove it from all these sites.

It was handed to thieves in the first place so…

Is it good or bad?

What a bunch of c**ts. Their own Twitter has this:

Should you wish for your music to be removed we will honor your wishes and remove it for you, simply email verification@nftmusic.stream

We are on YOUR SIDE and are going to flip the industry on it’s [sic] head by cutting out the middle man & giving control back to you profit wise.

It’s such a pile of bullshit :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Edit: Also, it seems they got the music from YouTube Music, judging by some of their other tweets.

Edit edit: someone flagged me for the C-word?

Someone on Twitter suggested not only issuing a DMCA takedown but reporting the site for ToS breaches. If enough people do that, maybe they will be kicked from the hosting services entirely?

Cheers, I’ll give them a direct email as well and have a look into what you’ve posted above.

Literally all Spotify “ripping” apps on github do it that way … you paste in a Spotify link, the script searches on youtube and downloads it there. (I wonder though … why everything on Spotify can be on Youtube … hmm - their catalog should be quite different?)

I wonder why the website is still online.

Blockchain is public … anybody into crypto knows how to check their wallet(s)? I guess they have lots of them though

@Akio_Daku is your music also on Youtube by any chance?

@PeteDorky Yeah, it’s all on YouTube music so that makes total sense.

More like adding another uninvited and unnecessary middle man. I’m assuming they’ll be taking a cut of that profit too. What a shit show. NFTs — democratising intellectual property theft.

like 100% you mean because … most of the artists won’t know? Why would they tell anyone anyways?

I’m listed as an artist, but I didn’t find any actual tracks of mine.
Maybe they have already been taken down.
Thanks for the alert @Akio_Daku

No one is paying anyone anything in crypto because NFTs convey no ownership and, even if they did, who would they refer to in a copyright dispute, the courts?

isn’t this the same thing the ‘hit piece’ people did?
