So made the stupid mistake of leaving my rytm in my room during a house party. And sonethibg alcoholic (possibly whiskey) got spilt on it. It wasnt switched on at the time and i let it dry for 2 days. Initially it didn’t make any sound but then after trying again today it came back to life except the hi hats and clap/rim voices. Any idea if this could be repaired? Assuming its 2 voices that may be damaged. Some sound does play but only with overdrive cranked up and it doesnt sound very nice. All other voices are ok.
yeouch I feel for ya brother. hope you get sorted
Wish you the best of luck with this
Good news is this is a mistake typically only made once.
Bad news is it’s going to cost you $ to fix.

TBH, you probably should have washed it, I’m sure there’s a thread on here with lots of practical advice from those who have come through this with a working device … it relies on cleaning the impurities at the earliest stage though … have a browse of here and the internet too, now may be the time, but it probably should have preceded powering on sadly - hope it comes good, it will likely be a spendy repair though … gutting
the best thing is to clean it, maybe wash it from alcool and so sugar. and dry for at least 2 days.
