This is normal - Sound pool is project specific - so you’d need to load sounds into it yourself - you can move multiple sounds simultaneously using the sound manager
Either that or create a project template and copy this rather than create a new project
Thanks Avantronica, So I didn’t by accident erase all sounds
So best approach is to duplicate the presets project and start messing things up
You can download the entire “demo” set once you are registered on the elektron website
Indeed, there are of course sounds always available in the +Drive across ALL projects - sound pool sounds are specifically for sound locks or multimap use
Hmm, when I create a new project going into the sound browser there are no sounds.
Did you use [funct] + [global] ?
There you will find the sound browser.
Sometimes you have to press [no] or [yes] if it takes you straight to a sub-page and then press [funct] + [global] again to start at the main sounds page.
From there just check mark the sounds you want to use and after press > left key and select import sounds or whatever it says.
Hi prgm.woof, which button do you mean with [global] ?
When I press [func] + [Sound] and go to the Pool, it is empty
The button above [funct].
Try those two.
on my Analog4 there is the pool which is available whenever I create a new project. on the rytm my pool is empty.
Is there perhaps a system reset function?
That brings you to the projects browser
Just turned my rytm on.
Ok go to [funct] + [global] then select SAMPLES and browse the folders and select your sounds.
Make sure to import them to your project after selecting them.
I think maybe you were getting sounds and samples confused.
No. Click funct + global twice and it will bring you to the main page where you can select Samples.
You’re seeing the projects only because it starts you off inside that folder.
Click funct + global again and it will take you to that main page where you will also see a samples folder.
I have no samples yet, i am just looking for the standard soundpool sounds ![]()
made a quick video:
Lol you have to click [funct] + [global] twice, 2 times.
At the beginning of the video you only clicked it once. It’s right there where you were at.
Nop clicking twice does go to the same menu ;-S
At the first part of the video when you are at the projects page press funct + global again, it will take you a page back where you will see a projects folder and a samples folder right under, select samples.
Or click funct + global twice fast.
If that doesn’t work click funct + global and start or select a new project.
Then click funct + global and you will be at the main page where you will see the projects and also samples folder. Bam! Done deal.
YEah, I don’t know maybe something changed with the latest firmware.
I just went into the manual and did a factory reset. That brought back the soundpool sounds… pfew
Now I can start diving deeper into this machine…
I really appreciate you taking the time replying to my issues. Thanks!!
Wait actually I think I know what was wrong.
I’m using Rytm 1st gen not mk2 and the buttons are different.
Those sound pool sounds after you did the reset are most likely from a factory project demo. Try funct + set up.
Or [funct] + [sound browser]
It’s the button under the track level knob.
That should be it. It has to be one of those.
Happy trails.
[Function] + rotating the [sound browser] knob is now showing the sounds from the pool.
before it was empty
thanks, have a nice weekend!
